A great number of people don’t know or lack enough time to change the oil on their car so they take it to those quick oil change shops. The uncertainty is can these service providers be dependable. When I told them that I had just changed it several months prior, they then told me it needed to be swapped out in another six months or so.

What’s interesting is that they first told me that the filter needed to be changed. At that point their story changed when I said that it wasn’t that old. That’s just complete dishonesty followed by protecting their butt’s.

Another time, one of these outlets replaced my transmission fluid. This seems like they’ll tell you that your transmission fluid will need to be changed everytime you visit. This one instance I allowed them to do it. Then, when I went back in order to get my oil changed a few months later, they told me I seriously needed to have my transmission fluid changed. There after, I never went to these businesses ever again.

I no longer go to these quick oil change places and as an alternative have found a good mechanic to work on my car. One thing you should consider is that the employees of the oil change places aren’t required to go to school to tell you what you need to have done to your car. Though a licensed mechanic has received the proper education.
